  3. Motion to authorize advertising for a full-time Systems and Communications Administrator to be paid 50% from IT and 50% from E-911. This will eliminate our need for monthly contract support from Omnitech at a rate of $9,995 per month.
  4. <span style="text-transform: capitalize;">Motion to Approve Contract with Mechanical Services, LLC for the corporate office HVAC & insulation upgrades for an amount not-to-exceed $48,121.03. The cost is to be split with fallen & Hoshall due to their partial acceptance of a facility oversight that caused the HVAC problem.
  5. Motion to spread on the Minutes the E-911 Commission's approval of a new IT position salary with that IT position being dedicated partly to the E-911 Department and partly to the IT Department, with E-911 being responsible for half of the position’s salary and also responsible for 1/2 of the benefits and requesting the necessary budget amendment. This new position will allow for considerable savings going forward as we will be performing our own Teir 1 support for our Motorola, AT&T, and Solara contracts and reducing these contracts as they renew. We will see approximately $5,000 in monthly savings from contract reduction in the next 3 months with additional savings as the other contracts renew. This hybrid position will also allow for better efficiency in support of E-911, better coupling IT and E911 as we move toward the new NG911 initiative.
