Sponsors: Councilmembers Wes Rogers and Ryana Parks-Shaw, and Mayor Quinton Lucas RESOLUTION - Directing the City Manager to issue a Request for Qualifications/Proposals for the construction of a modular jail facility with a capacity of up to 130 beds, at City-owned or City-controlled parcels; directing the City Manager to secure all necessary permits to reuse the chosen site for a modular jail facility; directing the City Manager to present a plan for operations of the facility to the City Council within 30 days; and expressing the City Council’s desire to utilize up to $14,000,000.00 of funds previously appropriated in Ordinance 240807, As Amended, for the construction of the facility.
