Sponsor: Fire Chief of the Fire Department Authorizing the acceptance of a $1,677,279.29 grant from the United States Department of Homeland Security Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) Program, including a City match of $167,727.93, or ten (10%) percent of the Federal contribution bringing the total cost of Federal and Non-federal funding to $1,845,007.22; estimating revenue in the amount of $1,677,279.29 in the General Grants Fund; appropriating $1,677,279.29 to the Assistance to Firefighter Grant (AFG) Program account in the General Grants Fund; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.
