1. Motion to Approve the Purchase of a Komptech Terminator 6000 F Low Speed High Torque Sheer Shredder from Hennen Equipment, Inc. for $972,688.The mobile shredder includes the MSW designed drum and counter comb and the over belt magnet. Staff is requesting Council approval to purchase a shredder for the Solid Waste Campus for business operations. The shredder is in the Capital Improvement budget and is a planned investment.
2. Motion to Accept Grants Through the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Source Water Protection and Authorize Staff to Sign on Behalf of the City.The City of Red Wing Utility Department has been awarded two grants through the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH). A Source Water Implementation grant was received for $2,250 to purchase and assemble chemical spill kits at generator sites at the water treatment plants. A competitive grant was received for $10,000 to upgrade security cameras at the Charlson Crest Water Treatment Plant.
3. Motion to Approve a Lease Extension with the Red Wing Area Seniors for Retail Space Currently used by Annadee’s Closet at 321 Potter Street.<br>The current lease with the Red Wing Area Seniors (RWAS) for the leased space housing Annadee's Closet expired December 31, 2023. The RWAS did not request a lease extension as noted in the terms of the lease in a timely manner. However, they are requesting a 5-year extension at this time.
4. Consider Actions Related to the Red Wing Marine Museum (RWMM).1. Approve a Lease Amendment with the Red Wing Marine Museum.2. Authorize Staff to Administratively Review and Approve the Sub-Lease with the Red Wing Area Seniors (RWAS) during the course of the lease with RWMM.3. Provide Direction to Staff Regarding the Proposal from RWMM to Place the Recently Donated Rail Car Mover and Associated Equipment on the Site. Staff is requesting three actions related to the Red Wing Marine Museum.
