- Motion to Approve Agreement with Bolton & Menk for City Engineering Consulting Services. Interim Engineering Director Ryan Illa has prepared an agreement with Bolten and Menk to provide City Engineer services. The City must have an Engineer sign off on specific paper work. The City currently does not have an Engineer, therefore a contract for these services is necessary. The services will be on an hourly, as needed basis. The City of Red Wing and Bolton & Menk have over a 10-year relationship and have delivered the 2015-2016 Main Street Reconstruction, 2021-2022 Old West Main Street Reconstruction and The Pedestrian Bridge over the Railroad tracks in the West End District.
- Motion to Adopt * Resolution No. 8021, Approving a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to Expand an Existing Multiple Family Residential (3-4 Units) Use at 1009 East Avenue. Anthony Nemcek has requested a CUP to reestablish a fourth dwelling unit in the primary structure, which is currently being utilized as a tri-plex. Only minor interior alterations are needed to convert the structure back to a previous configuration that operated as a four-plex, The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing for the proposal at its July 16, 2024, meeting and is recommending approval.
