- Motion to Approve Renewal of Land Use Agreement with Army Corps of Engineers for Storage of Dredging Material.The current agreement with the Army Corps of Engineers expires at the end of 2024. Because dredging on the Mississippi River is needed almost yearly, the Corps has drafted this Dredged Material Placement Easement for the placement of the dredged material on City property located on Levee Road. The Corps is asking for approval of the easement, which has similar language to past easements.
- Motion to Accept Bids and Authorize the Award of Contract for the Rehabilitation of Wells 8-1 and 8-2 to Keys Well Drilling Company for $329,350.Bids for the rehabilitation of Wells 8-1 and 8-2 were opened on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. Staff is recommending the Council accept the bids and authorize the award of contract to Keys Well Drilling Company.
- Motion to Adopt * Resolution No. 8022, Accepting the Donation of $2,311.34 from the Red Wing Lions Club to Purchase an Expression Swing to be Installed at the Colvill Park Playground.Over the past few years, playground equipment has become more innovative and interactive. One new design element is intergenerational play, where children and the parents or other caregivers can play together much more interactively. The Expression Swing allows a child and an adult to sit face-to-face and swing. There are several models of this swing; the proposed model features a seat for an adult and a seat for a child aged 24 to 48 months.
