- Consider Motion to Approve the Purchase of a New 2025 926 Caterpillar High Lift Wheel Loader From Ziegler for $204,008.80. <br>The 2025 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) includes funding to purchase a front-end loader for the Solid Waste Division of Public Works for $310,000. The loader will replace a 2013 924K Cat loader with 13,000 hours. This loader will be traded in at a value of $34,700. The replacement schedule for front-end loaders at the Waste Campus is 10 years.
- Consider Motion to Approve the Purchase of a 24-Yard ZR Automated Side Loader Refuse Packer From McNeilus Truck and Manufacturing for $212,010.00 and a Peterbilt 520 Chassis From Allstate Peterbilt Group in the Amount of $203,658.00, for a Total of $415,668.00 from the 2025 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) and Fund Balance. <br>The 2025 CIP contains $380,000 in funding to purchase an automated side-loader packer truck for the Solid Waste Campus. The remaining $35,688 will come from the Refuse and Recycling Fund Balance. The Public Works replacement schedule for an automated packer garbage truck is 15 years. The current truck is a 2010 International with 65,000 miles and 14,000 hours. This vehicle will be traded in or sold on GovDeals. The trade-in value is estimated to be $10,000, which will reduce the amount needed from the fund balance.
