- Consider Motion to Introduce Ordinance No. 222, Fourth Series, Amending Section 6.28 of the City Code Concerning Cannabis and Lower Potency Hemp Business Registration Regulations.<br>The City Council is being asked to consider an amendment to Section 6.28 of the City Code stating that cannabis retail businesses operating or authorized under a tribal compact will count towards the maximum number of registrations allowed within the City of Red Wing. The proposed amendment is intended to more closely align with language in State Statutes concerning cannabis retail businesses and to provide clarity concerning which businesses will fall under the limits imposed by the cannabis ordinance. The Council is also asked to consider removing language stating that applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. Removing this provision will allow the City to develop review criteria in the event that multiple retail applications are submitted at the same time.
