City Council is asked to consider the adoption of Resolutions No. 8094 and No. 8095 after holding a public hearing on the project. - Consider Motion to Introduce Ordinance No. 223, Fourth Series, Amending Section 6.28 of the City Code Concerning Cannabis and Lower Potency Hemp Business Registration Regulations.<br>The City Council is being asked to consider an amendment to Section 6.28 of the City Code to bring the ordinance into conformance with recent amendments to state statutes concerning cannabis businesses. The specific amendments will revise the current language concerning “license preapproval” to refer to the updated provisions in state statutes for “preliminary license approval”. The proposed ordinance will also clarify that approval of registration requests for cannabis retail businesses will be reviewed by the City Council in a manner consistent with the City’s policy for local cannabis retail registration.
