  1. A. Congress Square Park (Cole, Hancock, Whipple): 1. Contract amendment #3 & MOU under review by Sarah Sze Studio. 2. Subcommittee updates and coordination with the Friends Capital Campaign Committee B. Conservation Projects – ACTIVE 1. Jewell Box glass replacement – Staff is in coordination with Jerry Alves of Port City Glass to reinstall incorrect glass panel dimensions for end of June. Additional concerns about the bus shelter have been observed, PPAC members Berke and Dennehy are researching and will provide a report. 2. Pullen fountain – Staff is in coordination with Taggart Objects Conservation to complete conservation in late July. 3. Loring Memorial - Maine Stone Scapes has installed the granite post and scheduled the etching work for end of June to complete this replacement. A recent vehicle incident has damaged one of the large split boulders, Maine Stone Scapes has provided a quote of $7,750 to replace the damaged stone and was submitted as an insurance claim with the responsible party’s insurance provider. In addition, Staff from Public Works is evaluating roadway speed data at this location of the Eastern Promenade to determine possible roadway solutions in a comprehensive effort to reduce future incidences. 4. Tidal Moon - Jesse Salisbury has completed the repair and provided a treatment report. Staff would like to note that all sculpture repair and services were paid through the responsible party insurance policy and that no public art funds were utilized. 5. Passing the Torch – Staff is in coordination with electrical contractor and original lighting designer. A driver to replace the power component failed and a complete replacement of the stem light fixtures is required. There is a 6-8 week lead time and Staff has requested a quote to review with PPAC at a later date. 6. Rustle Diptych II – Staff is in coordination with electrical contractor to prepare a lighting quote to install (2) in-ground lights to replace the damaged lights that currently illuminate the sculpture. In addition, the Forestry team has replanted the area around the sculpture. 7. Langlais Birdhouse – Staff received a maintenance question for the five Birdhouse Heads located at Deering High School and is coordinating a meeting with the Principal & PPAC committee members. 8. Portland Bricks – Several bricks were recently demolished along Congress Street during brick sidewalk replacement project, Staff is coordinating the extent of demolition and has engaged artist Ayumi Horie to assist with specific brick locations. 9. Czar Reed – Graffiti removed from stone pedestal by Dennehy and Staff, along with pressured washed by City’s contractor to remove the remainder.
