1. At the meeting the Joint City/School Finance Committee will hear a presentation from Portland Public Schools (PPS) Superintendent Ryan Scallon on the proposed 2025-2026 school year budget. The theme of the FY26 budget proposal is “Funding Our Priorities” and reflects the fact that the investments proposed in this budget directly align with the priorities of the PPS five-year Strategic Plan. Questions will be taken on the presentation and responses will either be provided at the current meeting or compiled for response at the Thursday, 3/27 Joint City/School Finance Committee meeting. This is a discussion item only, no action is scheduled at the current meeting.
