2. 2 Order for a hearing regarding Voter Accessibility and Election Preparedness. On motion of Councilor Louijeune, Rule 12 was invoked to include Councilors Pepén and Murphy as original co-sponsors. 2024-1670
3. 3 On the message and order, referred on October 9, 2024, Docket #1507, requesting and recommending that the city hold in-person early voting for both the September 9, 2025, Preliminary Municipal Election (presuming this body acts favorably on my separate submission related to the date of the Preliminary) and the November 4, 2025, Municipal Election. I make this request in accordance with the provisions of G.L. c.54, § 25B (c)(1) upon the request of the registrars of the City of Boston. That statute provides a local option to allow for in-person early voting for any Preliminary or Municipal Election, the committee submitted a report recommending the order ought to pass in a new draft. 4. 4 On the message and order, referred on October 9, 2024, Docket #1508, at the recommendation of the Chair of the Board of Election Commissioners, I hereby transmit for the approval of your Honorable Body an Order fixing the date of the 2025 Preliminary Municipal Election as September 9, 2025, the committee submitted a report recommending the order ought to pass.
