Councilor Santana called Docket #1171, message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Two Hundred Sixty Thousand Thirty-One Dollars and Seventy-Five Cents ($260,031.75) in the form of a grant, for the FY23 Carbon Monoxide Poisoning Prevention Grant Program (COPPGP), awarded by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission to be administered by the Fire Department. The grant will fund and support the installation of CO alarms and training and public education programs to promote health and public safety, from the Committee on Public Safety & Criminal Justice. Hearing no objection, the matter was before the body. On motion of Councilor Santana, the order was passed.
