CONSIDERATION OF A KANSAS DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS (KDOC) GRANT APPLICATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $627,263 AND APPROVAL TO ENTER INTO CONTRACTS WITH TIYOSPAYE, INC. (DBA HIGHER GROUND) FOR SUBSTANCE TREATMENT / PEER MENTORING SERVICES AND A MOU WITH COMCARE FOR THERAPIST / CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES. RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve the application for the grant, and if awarded authorize acceptance of the grant,establishment of budget authority as provided in the Financial Considerations section of this request and authorization to enter into contract with Tiyospaye, Inc. (DBA Higher Ground) for substance treatment/peer mentoring services and a MOU with COMCARE for therapist/case management services.
