Recommending FIRST READING of Bill 7 (2024) to amend Chapter 3.47, Maui County Code, to require the Director of Finance to submit quarterly reports to the Council that include: 1) the number of County transient accommodations and estimated taxes grouped by residency area where the transient accommodation is located; 2) the number of County transient accommodations grouped by the taxpayer’s mailing address; and 3) an aged accounts receivable list of delinquent County transient accommodations; and to prevent the destruction of monthly, quarterly, or semiannual returns filed under Section 3.47.070, Maui County Code, in certain situations.
