Recommending REFERRAL of bills and resolutions to the Council Chair for the term beginning January 2, 2025, relating to: (1) authorizing a Council committee to conduct a formal investigation of County agencies on the County’s response to the August 2023 Wildfires on Maui Island; (2) amending Section 2.56.060, Maui County Code, relating to financial disclosure statements; (3) proposed Council-initiated amendments to the Revised Charter of the County of Maui (1983), as amended, relating to uses of the Open Space, Natural Resources, Cultural Resources, and Scenic Views Preservation Fund; (4) amending Section 2.44.010, Maui County Code, Salaries of Officers, in accordance with the Revised Charter of the County of Maui (1983), as amended; (5) reappointing Lance T. Taguchi as County Auditor; and (6) amending Chapter 3.36, Maui County Code, relating to the Maui County Grants Program, and Chapter 3.40, Maui County Code, relating to concession awards and rental or lease of County property.
