"A BILL FOR AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2024 BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF MAUI, REVENUES; DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE, COUNTYWIDE COSTS; GENERAL BUDGET PROVISIONS; AND APPENDIX A, PART II, GENERAL EXCISE TAX FUND AND GENERAL EXCISE TAX FUND - DEPARTMENT OF HAWAIIAN HOME LANDS" The purpose of this bill is to amend the Fiscal Year 2024 Budget, by 1) adding "General Excise Tax" to the section entitled "From Taxes, Fees and Assessments" in the amount of $28,825,741 and increasing the total accordingly; 2) adding two new appropriations under Department of Finance, Countywide Costs, entitled "Transfer to the General Excise Tax Fund" in the amount of $23,068,593 and "Transfer to the General Excise Tax Fund - Department of Hawaiian Home Lands" in the amount of $5,767,148; and adding the General Excise Tax Fund and the General Excise Tax Fund - Department of Hawaiian Home Lands to Appendix A, Part II.
