Overlay District - As current zoning codes do not accommodate a dense developement such as kennestone hospital that is embedded into some of our most desirable neighborhoods, I am requesting that staff work with Wellstar hospital,neighborhood representatives and commercial property owners to craft an overlay district for the Kennestone/Church/Cherokee area that sets forth developement regulations and design criteria that insure preservation of our neighborhood, the quality of new developement and redevelopement while allowing the hospital to grow reasonably to serve the community.
