- 21 NOTE
- 1. North Ponce Study - Staff will share a copy of the North Ponce survey with the board in draft form.
- 2. City Hall Doors - The board revisited concerns about the doors at City Hall. A suggestion was made to install glass or another compatible door system within the recessed entry area without altering the original historic doors. The board member noted that this approach could be consistent with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards. The comment was noted for consideration.
- 3. Staff to work with BOA on low e-glass - Staff reported that direction had been received from the Mayor’s Office and City Manager’s Office to work with the Board of Architects on guidelines or discussion points regarding the appropriate use of low-E glass in historic properties. Staff noted that historic window approvals have become increasingly difficult because some manufacturers are leaving Florida or are no longer renewing their NOAs, making it harder to obtain historically compatible window configurations.
