Adopt Resolution No. 2025-31 - A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Cocoa Beach, Florida, amending garbage, waste and trash fees; providing for interpretation and for an effective date. Resolution No. 2025-31 implements a 5.39% rate increase effective in January 2026, seen in the February 2026 utility bill. The current contract with Waste Management for solid waste services runs from 2021 to 2026 and has an escalation clause allowing rate adjustments linked to the Consumer Price Index (CPI). The last customer rate increase was applied in January 2025 in the amount of 4.59%.
