A. MOTION TO AUTHORIZE County Administration to negotiate and execute a sponsorship agreement with the American Jewish Committee, for a term from the effective date through September 30, 2026, and in the total amount of $50,000, to fund catering, books, and materials for family-friendly programs and displays in coordination with Broward County Libraries for Jewish American Heritage Month events during May 2026, subject to review and approval for legal sufficiency by the County Attorney’s Office. (Commissioner Furr pulled this item from the Consent Agenda.) (Per the Tuesday Agenda Memorandum, the Board's consideration of this item is based upon the item as amended by Additional Material 35-A submitted by Senator Nan Rich.) ACTION: (T-11:12 AM) Approved as amended to reflect substitution of the word “refreshments” for the word “catering,” and as amended with Regular Meeting Additional Material 35-A, dated April 28, 2026, submitted at the request of Senator Nan Rich. MOTION TO ADOPT budget Resolution transferring funds from reserve within the General Fund in the amount of $50,000 for the purpose of providing Fiscal Year 2026 funding to the American Jewish Committee for the referenced sponsorship agreement; and to authorize the County Administrator to take all necessary administrative and budgetary actions required to implement the foregoing.
