MAYOR'S REPORT A. CONGRATULATIONS ACTION: (T-12:06 PM) Mayor Rich congratulated County Administrator Monica Cepero and announced that she will be recognized as one of the 2024 YWCA South Florida Trailblazers on October 26 in Miami. (Refer to minutes for full discussion.) B. FITCE ACTION: (T-12:20 PM) Mayor Rich advised that representatives of over 70 countries will be welcomed to FITCE, which begins tomorrow at the Broward County Convention Center, and relayed that this year’s theme is the importance of manufacturing and tourism to global trade. (Refer to minutes for full discussion.) C. CENTER FOR JEWISH STUDIES ACTION: (T-12:21 PM) Mayor Rich reported attending an event last night as Chair of the Advisory Board for the University of Florida Center for Jewish Studies in which anti-Semitism, intolerance, hate and discrimination were discussed by several distinguished speakers from the Jewish community.
