DEED RESTRICTIONS - COMMISSIONER MCKINZIE ACTION: (T-12:31 PM) Commissioner McKinzie discussed tax credits for nonprofits building 12 single-family homes in the BMSD and 30-year mortgage restrictions. (Refer to minutes for full discussion.) In response to Commissioner McKinzie, Commissioner Ryan discussed repairs granted for persons based upon verified income, first-time home buyer status and other programs that have certain eligibility requirements. In addition, Commissioner Ryan inquired as to program exemptions and requested the County Attorney’s Office determine what issues may be addressed at a future meeting. (Refer to minutes for full discussion.) In response to Commissioner Ryan, Deputy County Attorney Annika Ashton advised as to program restrictions. (Refer to minutes for full discussion.) In response to previous discussion, Commissioner Geller discussed the importance of striking an appropriate balance in reference to affordable housing. (Refer to minutes for full discussion.)
