MOTION TO AUTHORIZE increase to the Director of Purchasing authority to award and/or negotiate and execute any contracts, agreements, amendments, change orders, or work authorizations necessary to complete the facility improvements to Central Broward Park & Broward County Stadium in preparation for the International Cricket Council 2024 World Cup cricket tournament, from the allocated aggregate amount of $8,397,000 to $11,500,000, with each document subject to review for legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney; to waive application of the Broward County Procurement Code to permit any required procurements, provided that they include as much competition as the Director of Purchasing determines prudent in light of the expedited timeline, subject to any applicable legal requirements, finding same to be in the best interest of the County; and to take any necessary budgetary and administrative actions to effectuate same.
