What local government is buying
Contracts, awards, bids and purchase orders pulled from the official record of 1208 governments — who is spending, on what, and with which company.
Observed value is the sum of the figures stated on these records, not total government spending: an amendment usually restates the value of the contract it amends, so the same money can appear more than once. Treat it as the size of the record set, not a budget.

Report from the Public Works Department requesting approval to award a lease agreement in the amount of $850 per month for the Centennial Bridge office to the Rock Island Down… Communication from the City Manager and the Community Development Director with a Request to APPROVE the Grant Award, in the Amount of $204,384.00, from the City’s HUD HOME FU…Amounts and company names are read automatically from the official record titles. They are accurate often enough to be useful and not often enough to be relied on blindly — every row links to the source document, which is authoritative.
