Under the proposal, the City would acquire a 79-acre federal parcel located at the mouth of the Poudre River Canyon in exchange for a 40-acre municipal parcel situated near the Kelly Flat Campground in the Poudre River Canyon. To ensure seamless stewardship of the canyon’s natural resources, both parties have committed to a unified management framework, aligning their policies on recreation, conservation, and public access to maintain a consistent experience across the entire landscape.
