A resolution authorizing and approving the expenditure and payment from the appropriation account designated “liability claims,” the sum of Eight Hundred Thousand Dollars and No Cents ($800,000.00) made payable to the Civil Rights Litigation Group’s trust account on behalf of the Estate of Duane Manzanares, Jr., in full payment and satisfaction of all claims related to the civil action captioned Estate of Duane Manzanares, Jr., by and through its Personal Representative Mary Ann Trujillo v. Samuel Bailey, Steven Whiteman, and Ryan Nelson, which was filed in the Denver District Court, Case No. 2023CV31683. Settles a claim involving the Denver Police Department. This resolution was approved for filing at the Mayor Council meeting on 3-11-2025.
