Approving a construction contract contingency increase up to 15%($826,585) with the McGuire and Hester construction contract and authorize the City Manager to execute the construction contract change orders; and<br>2. Approving a consultant services amendment for design with Mark Thomas and Company, in the amount of $53,454 for a total agreement amount of $561,625.02 and authorize the City Manager to execute the amendment; and3. Approving a consultant services amendment for construction management and inspection services with Associated Engineering Consultants, Inc. in the amount of $300,000 for a total agreement amount of $839,298 and authorize the City Manager to execute the amendment.
2. SUBJECT: Award Construction Contract for Matmor Road and E. Gum Avenue Rehabilitation Project, CIP 19-05RECOMMENDATION FOR ACTION: Staff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution No. ______, 1.) Approving a construction contract for the Matmor Road and E. Gum Avenue Rehabilitation Project, CIP 19-05; awarding the construction contract in the amount of $5,191,118.00 to O.C. Jones & Sons, Inc. for the base bid only; authorizing a contract contingency up to 20% ($1,038,223.60); and authorizing the City Manager to execute the construction contract and change orders; and 2.) Approving a consultant services agreement for construction management and inspection services with Unico Engineering, Inc. in the amount of $762,412.60; authorizing a contract contingency up to 20% ($152,482.52); and authorizing the City Manager to execute the agreement and amendments.
