SUBJECT: Award Construction Contract and Construction Inspection Consultant Agreement for the 2024 Water and Sewer Repair and Replacement Project, CIP 23-02RECOMMENDATION FOR ACTION: Staff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution No. ____: (1) Approving a construction contract for the 2024 Water and Sewer Repair and Replacement Project, CIP 23-02; awarding the construction contract in the amount of $2,587,152 to Lund Construction Co. with both approval and award contingent on the expiration of the bid protest period for this project; authorizing a contract contingency up to 10% ($258,715); and authorizing the City Manager to execute the construction contract and change orders; and (2) Approving a consultant agreement for construction inspection services with WSP USA, Inc. in the amount up to $225,461.80, authorizing a contingency of up to 10% ($22,546), and authorizing the City Manager to execute the agreement.
  2. SUBJECT: Award Construction Contract and Construction Inspection Consultant Agreement for the Spring Lake Recycled Water Project, CIP 17-07 <br><br>RECOMMENDATION FOR ACTION: Staff recommends that the City Council adopt Resolution No. ____, to: (1) Appropriate $3,565,000 of Water Enterprise Funds (Fund 2210) to the Spring Lake Recycled Water Project, CIP 17-07; (2) Approve a construction contract with Argonaut Constructors, Inc. in the amount of $2,831,717.50 for the Spring Lake Recycled Water Project, CIP 17-07, and authorize a contract contingency of up to 15% ($424,758), and (3) Approve a consultant agreement for construction inspection services with UNICO Engineering in an amount up to $227,653.14, and authorize a contingency of up to 15% ($34,148), and authorize and direct the City Manager to execute the agreements.
