1. RECEIVE STATUS REPORT RELATING TO THE JAPANESE GARDEN AND REVIEW THE PLANS AND DRAWINGS FOR THE OUTDOOR DISPLAY OF THE ONIGAWARA. BY MOTION ACCEPT OR REJECT THE PROPOSAL TO THEN BE PRESENTED TO THE COMMISSION ON CULTURE AND THE ARTS (CCA). AUTHORIZE COMMISSIONER STEWART TO SPEAK ON BEHALF OF THE SISTER CITY COMMISSION AT CCA MEETING AND WHEN NECESSARY, AT CITY COUNCIL MEETING. IN THE EVENT THAT CCA APPROVES PLAN FOR ONIGAWARA, BY MOTION AUTHORIZE THE REQUEST FOR THE PLAN TO GO TO CITY COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL WITHOUT COMING BACK IN FRONT OF THE SISTER CITY COMMISSION. Recommendations: By motion approve plans for outdoor display of the Onigawara to then be forwarded to CCA.By motion authorize Commissioner Stewart to speak on behalf of the Sister City Commission regarding the Japanese Garden at both the Commission on Culture and the Arts and City Council.By motion authorize CCA approved plan to go in front of City Council for final decision.
