Consider recommendations regarding Amendment No. 1 to New Probation Headquarters Construction Contract with ProWest PCM, Inc., as follows: (4/5 Vote Required) a) Approve, ratify and authorize the Chair of the Board of Supervisors to execute Amendment No. 1 to Board Contract No. 24004 with ProWest PCM, Inc. for the construction of the New Probation Headquarters Project No. PRJ-000155 (Project 19014) increasing the Contingency Amount by $400,000.00, for an amended Contingency Amount of $2,303,370.65, and an increased maximum aggregate contract amount of $40,120,783.65; b) Approve and authorize the Director of General Services, or his designee, to approve Change Orders under the Agreement in an aggregate amount not to exceed $2,303,370.65; and c) Determine that pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines Section 15162, no substantial changes are proposed to the project covered by the above recommended actions (a and b), and no new information of substantial importance has come to light regarding environmental effects of the project or of the sufficiency or feasibility of mitigation measures, and therefore these actions are within the scope of the project covered by the Mitigated Negative Declaration and monitoring program under (SCH2023040126, GS-042022-19014-MND) approved and adopted by the Board for this project on March 19, 2024, and determine that therefore no new environmental document is required.
