Consider recommendations regarding an Agreement for Services of Independent Contractor with Brandt VX, LLC for Professional Services for the Regional Fire Communications Center, as follows: a) Approve and authorize the Chair to execute an Agreement for Services of Independent Contractor between the County of Santa Barbara and Brandt VX, LLC, for specialized professional services, for a term beginning December 9, 2025, and ending no later than November 30, 2030, in an amount not to exceed $1,366,572.00, including contingencies of $124,234.00; b) Approve and authorize the Fire Chief, or designee, to make immaterial amendments in accordance with the Agreement; and c) Determine that the recommended actions are not a project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), pursuant to CEQA Guidelines section 15378(b)(5), finding that the actions consist of administrative activities of government that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment.
