Consider recommendations regarding a Resolution Authorizing the Sheriff, or his designee, to Enter into an Agreement with California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) for Day Reporting Centers, as follows: a) Adopt a Resolution authorizing the Sheriff, or his designee, on behalf of the County of Santa Barbara to enter into an Agreement with the CDCR and execute other documents made part of the Agreement to provide continued services for parolees at the two Day Reporting Centers in the County of Santa Barbara, for the period of July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2030, subject to the concurrence of Risk Management, County Counsel, and Auditor-Controller’s Office; and b) Find that the proposed actions do not constitute a “Project” within the meaning of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), pursuant to 14 CCR 15378(b)(5), in that they are government administrative activities that will not result in direct or indirect changes to the environment.
