Consider recommendations regarding a Donation of Equipment for the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB), as follows: (4/5 Vote Required) a) Approve, ratify, and authorize the Sheriff to accept a donation of $18,490.00 in technical equipment from MOS Equipment for the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office CIB; b) Approve Budget Revision Request No. 0010274 to increase appropriations of $18,490.00 in Sheriff General Fund for Capital Assets (upgraded CIB equipment) funded by a donation from MOS Equipment; and c) Determine that the above actions are not a project pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines Section 15378(b)(4), finding that the actions are not a project as it is the creation of a government funding mechanism or other government fiscal activity, which does not involve any commitment to any specific project which may result in a potentially significant physical impact on the environment.
