HEARING - Consider recommendations regarding a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Healthcare Services at Sheriff’s Jail Facilities and Probation’s Juvenile Justice Center (JJC), as follows: (EST. TIME: 1 HR.) a) Receive and file a presentation from Health Management Associates (HMA) on an RFP for Healthcare Services at the Sheriff’s jail facilities and Probation’s JJC; b) Provide any direction, as appropriate; c) Authorize the release of an RFP for Healthcare Services at the Sheriff’s jail facilities and Probation’s JJC; and d) Determine that the above action is not a project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15378(b)(5) because it consists of government administrative activities that will not result in direct or indirect physical changes in the environment.
