Award Construction Contract to Onyx Paving Company, Inc. in the Amount of $3,682,000 for “Street Preservation Local - Citywide (FY 24-25),” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-68593 It is recommended that the City Council take the following actions: 1) Award a construction contract to the lowest responsive bid from Onyx Paving Company, Inc. for “Street Preservation Local - Citywide (FY 24-25),” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-68593, to include all of Base Bid (A&B) items, plus Additive Alternate No. 1, in the amount of $3,682,000; 2) Find that the project referenced is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15301(c) and that the proposed project will not have a significant effect on the environment; and 3) Authorize the City Manager, or their designee, to execute the construction contract and any subsequent change orders on behalf of the City of Pomona (City).
