Adopt an ordinance adding Chapter 5.65 to the Monterey County Code to establish a Survey Monument Preservation Fund to pay the necessary expenses incurred or authorized by the County Surveyor in retracing or re-monumenting major historical land division lines upon which later surveys are based. Proposed California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) Action: Find that the adoption of this ordinance is not a project pursuant to CEQA Guidelines, California Code of Regulations section 15378(b)(5) because it is an organizational activity of government that will not result in a direct or indirect physical impact on the environment.
