a. Authorize the Director of Health Services or designee to execute an agreement for professional services (“PSA”) with the City of Salinas for the period of August 15, 2024 through June 1, 2027 in the amount not to exceed $105,000 for the provision by the County of Monterey Health Department, Planning, Evaluation and Policy Unit, working collaboratively with the City of Salinas toward the mutual goal of evaluating the Organized Retail Theft (ORT) and Motor Vehicle Theft (MVT) Prevention Program using non-experimental research designs and evidence-based program evaluation strategies to assess and evaluate implementation activities occurring between October 1, 2023 and December 31, 2026, funded by Grant No. BSCC 1168-23 of the State of California Board of State and Community Corrections; and b. Approve the recommendation of the Director of Health Services to accept all non-standard provisions in Agreement; and c. Approve and authorize the Director of Health Services or designee to execute up to three (3) future amendments to the agreement which do not significantly alter the scope of work and do not cause an increase of more than 10% ($10,500) of the original cost of the agreement, for a maximum total Agreement amount of $115,500.
