a. Authorize the Executive Director of the Monterey County Workforce Development Board (MCWDB) and the Chair of the Board of Supervisors to sign a High RoadSM Construction Careers Agreement between the MCWDB and the Laborers Training & Retraining Trust Fund for Northern California, effective June 25, 2024, through March 31, 2026, to provide pre-apprenticeship training to underserved individuals from Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito counties, in the total amount of $362,670; and b. Authorize the Executive Director to execute one (1) amendment to extend the Agreement for one (1) additional year, subject to County Counsel review, so long as the amendment does not exceed 10% of the Agreement ($36,267) and does not significantly change the scope of work or terms of the Agreement, not to exceed a maximum of $398,937.
