a. Authorize and approve the Director of the Monterey County Free Libraries (“MCFL”) to execute a non-standard agreement between the County of Monterey, on behalf of the MCFL, and State Library of California, through its California Library Literacy Program, to approve a grant award of approximately $24,000 to provide English as a Second Language services, and b. Accept the grant award of $24,000 from the State Library of California, and c. Accept non-standard indemnification provisions at the recommendation of the Director of MCFL, and d. Approve and authorize the Director of the MCFL or his or her designee to execute to three (3) future amendments where the combined amendments do not exceed 25% ($6,000) of the original Agreement amount, do not significantly change the scope of services, and do not increase the total not to exceed amount over $30,000.
