SUBJECT: Consider Awarding a Purchase to LC Action Police Supply and Approving the Purchase of 120 GLOCK 45 Gen 5 Pistols and Accessories in an Amount not to Exceed $106,327.42 REPORT IN BRIEF Considers waiving competitive bidding requirements for purposes of standardization and approving the purchase of 120 GLOCK 45 Gen 5 pistols, holsters, and related accessories from LC Action Police Supply in an amount not to exceed $106,327.42. RECOMMENDATION City Council - Adopt a motion: A. Authorizing the waiver of competitive bidding requirements pursuant to Section 3.04.210 of the Merced Municipal Code based upon the operational need for standardization and interoperability with local law enforcement partners; and B. Approving the purchase of 120 GLOCK 45 Gen 5 pistols, holsters, and related accessories from LC Action Police Supply in an amount not to exceed $106,327.42; and C. Authorizing the issuance of a purchase order to LC Action Police Supply in an amount not to exceed $106,327.42; and D. Authorizing the City Manager to execute the necessary documents.
