SUBJECT: Consideration of the First Reading of an Ordinance Amending Chapter 10.20.190 “Warrants - Stop Signs” of the Merced Municipal Code to Update Language to Reflect the Dissolution of the Traffic Committee REPORT IN BRIEF The Ordinance proposes revisions to Chapter 10.20.190 - “Warrants - Stop Signs” of the Merced Municipal Code by removing the existing language of “traffic committee” and replacing the wording with “city engineer or his/her designee” to align with restructuring. RECOMMENDATION City Council - Adopt a motion: A. Introducing and approving the first reading of Ordinance 2589, an Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Merced, California, Amending Chapter 10.20.190 “Warrants - Stop Signs”;and, B. Setting the Ordinance for a second reading and adoption.
