SUBJECT: Approval of a Supplemental Appropriation in Fund 7006-Fleet for Replacement and Approval to Purchase Two (2) 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD 4WD Crew Cab Work Trucks ($63,167.50/Each), from National Auto Fleet Group, for $126,334.99 Plus a 10% Contingency ($12,633.50) for a Total not-to-Exceed Amount of $138,968.49 for the Fire Department to Replace Vehicles F-946 and F-979 REPORT IN BRIEF Considers approving the purchase of two (2) 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD 4WD Crew Cab Work Trucks ($63,167.50/each) in the amount of $126,334.99 plus a 10% contingency ($12,633.50) for a total not-to-exceed amount of $138,968.49, utilizing the cost savings government procurement program (Sourcewell). The proposed purchase will replace aging fleet vehicles and is anticipated to improve fleet reliability, reduce ongoing maintenance costs, and enhance operational efficiencies. RECOMMENDATION City Council - Adopt a motion: A. Approving a supplemental appropriation from the unencumbered unreserved fund balance in Fund 7006-Fleet Replacement in the amount of $138,969 to replace Vehicles F-946 and F-979 and appropriating the same; and B. Waiving the City’s competitive bidding requirement as permitted by Merced Municipal Code section 3.04.210 and authorizing the purchase to be made with a cooperative purchase agreement through Sourcewell, a government procurement program; and, C. Approving the purchase of two (2) 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD 4WD Crew Cab Trucks in the amount of $126,334.99 from National Auto Fleet Group - Chevrolet of Watsonville, through Sourcewell contract # 091521-NAF; and, D. Authorizing the City Manager to execute any necessary documents and the City Purchasing Supervisor to issue the Purchase Order/Change Order(s), and approval of change orders not to exceed 10% ($12,633.49) of the purchase price.
