SUBJECT: Second Reading and Final Adoption of Ordinance to Amend Section 15.32.080, “State Connection Regulations - Backflow Protection Apparatus (BPA)” of the Merced Municipal Code to Reflect the State of California Water Board’s Regulatory Replacement of Title 17 with the Cross Connection Control Policy Handbook REPORT IN BRIEF Second reading and final adoption of Ordinance to amend Section 15.32.080, “State Connection Regulations - Backflow Protection Apparatus (BPA),” to comply with new regulations that require all water suppliers to follow the most recent version of the State of California Water Board’s Cross Connection Control Policy Handbook, the regulatory document used to create the City of Merced Water Division’s Cross Connection Control Plan. RECOMMENDATION City Council - Adopt a motion adopting Ordinance 2586, an Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Merced, California, amending Section 15.32.080, “State Connection Regulations - Backflow Control Devices,” of the Merced Municipal Code.
