SUBJECT: Authorization to Accept and Appropriate $12,585 in Grant Funds From the FY2023 State Homeland Security Grant Program (SHSGP) for the Merced Police Department to Purchase a Solution to Assist in Radio Inadequacies that Exist Within Our Current Radio System REPORT IN BRIEF Considers authorizing to accept grant funding from the FY2023 State Homeland Security Grant Program (SHSGP) for the Merced Police Department in the amount of $12,585. RECOMMENDATION City Council - Adopt a motion: A. Accepting FY 2023 SHSGP grant funds in the amount of $12,585, increase revenue, appropriating the same in Expense Fund 1000-General Fund (Police Division); and, B. Authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents; and, C. Authorizing the use of pooled cash until grant funds are reimbursed.
