Recommendation to increase appropriations in the General Fund Group in the City Manager Department by $5,425 offset by Second Council District One-Time District Priority Funds, transferred from the Citywide Activities Department, to provide contributions of: · $2,125 to the Zaferia Business Association to support the Happy Sundays Music Festival on August 27, 2023; · $1,500 to Brian James Addison to support LB Food Scene Week from August 9, 2023 to August 18, 2023; · $1,000 to the International Imperial Court of Long Beach, Inc. for their Back to School Drag Bingo event on August 27, 2023; · $500 to California Families in Focus for the Trans Pride event on July 29, 2023; · $300 to Friends of the Long Beach Public Library for the Librarian Appreciation event on August 18, 2023; and Decrease appropriations in the General Fund Group in the Citywide Activities Department by $5,425 to offset a transfer to the City Manager Department.
