CORRECTIONAL RELEASE COORDINATOR SUBJECT: The Sheriff’s Office request to create and fund a new position for a Correctional Release Coordinator to be assigned the duties required by the State mandated Cal-AIM program. FISCAL IMPACT: The resulting increase in FTE cost to the County would be approximately $3.16/hour to create the new position at a POA 18, offset in part with the elimination of the Community Services Officer (CSO) position, Police Officer's Association (POA) 15 and paid for primarily through Cal-AIM funding. ACTION REQUESTED: 1) Approve the creation of the job description for Correctional Release Coordinator; and 2) un-fund the position of Community Services Officer-Inmate Services; and 3) fund a Full-Time Equivalent Position for Correctional Release Coordinator; and/or 4) provide direction to staff.
