GROUNDWATER EXPORTATION TO NEVADA SUBJECT: Receive February 17, 2026, letter from the Nevada Division of Water Resources informing the Board of Supervisors of Sierra Pacific Industries applications (94406 and 94407) to export 5,600-acre feet per year of groundwater from Lassen County Assessor Parcel Numbers 141-280-025 and 143-050-006 to Assessor Parcel Number 079-200-01 in Washoe County Nevada. FISCAL IMPACT: None. ACTION REQUESTED: 1) Receive report; and 2) authorize the Chairman to execute a letter to the Nevada State Engineer recommending that the applications be denied until the property owner has secured permits to export groundwater in accordance with Chapter 17.01 (Extraction and Exportation) of the Lassen County Code; and/or 3) provide direction to staff.
