LASSEN COUNTY BROADBAND PLANNING AND FEASIBILITY STUDY SUBJECT: Presentation and discussion of the Lassen County Broadband Planning and Feasibility Study by Golden State Finance Authority (GSFA), a Joint Powers Authority of which Lassen County is a member. FISCAL IMPACT: The fiscal impact of this study is $25,000 as appropriated and paid to GSFA in the 2022/2023 Fiscal Year Budget. This amount is pursuant a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) by and between GSFA and the County. The MOU obligated the County to provide $25,000 towards the $125,000 cost of the study. Lassen County’s contribution is considered as mandatory matching funds in support of grant funding provided by the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration, to GSFA to fully fund the study.
