Recommended Action: It is recommended that the City Council do the following: 1. Receive and file this report and presentation on sales taxes. 2. Provide direction to staff on whether to initiate a formal community engagement process. This process would assess public sentiment and understanding regarding a potential local sales tax measure for placement on a future ballot.
